BCRP President’s Letter

Hello to all of our members

I have the honour of being your BC Provincial Royal Purple President for the term of
2009 – 2010.
I am looking forward to visiting Lodges and meeting our members.

My Theme is “Choices”
Our lives are based on “Choices” from the time we get up till the time we go to bed.
What to eat, what to wear, what to do, who to see and what organizations to belong to.
As a Royal Purple member the word Choices means to me:

charities, communities, commitment, committees, constitution, Convention
helping children, harmony, honour, hope, humanity, humour
O   opportunities, organizing, objectives, obligations, observance
I    incentive, integrity, individual, instructional, involving, a vision
C    communications, caring, continuing, connecting, Conference
E     Elks, endeavours, encouragement, events social, event sports (golf, darts, curling, bowling)
S     Sisters, sharing, services, satisfaction, self fulfillment, supporting, and statements (mission & vision)

The Choices to the giving of your time, knowledge, love and individual skills makes us a very special organization.
I believe the”Choice” each one has made to help children by belonging to the Royal Purple is Priceless.

Thinking of you your BCPR President

CHARITY PROGRAMS

Island Farm Products
These products are available in many parts of the province now, so please be sure to save the UPC labels from these products as we receive money from the company when we turn them in and this goes to support our various charity programs.

Campbell Labels
Saving these labels allow us to purchase various pieces of educational supplies for use in the preschool program at the BC Hearing Resource Centre.

Husky/Mohawk Community Rebate Program
Just swipe your rebate card when you make a purchase and 2% of your retail purchase will be credited to the BC Royal Purple Association to support their charity programs. Don't have a card? Contact any member of the Association or the Charity committee.

Pennies
All the Lodges have been asked to consider collecting pennies at their Lodges to help support the different charities.

Tabs for Tots Program
You can now save foil wrap and pie plates. This program was instituted by the fundraising committee to raise funds for playground equipment for our camps. These are added to the beer and pop tabs that you have been saving.
